So many things are created with an end. As I harvest materials that have exceeded a specific use, I find a glimpse of the past. Storms weathered, shadows cast, shelter given, burdens born. Each piece of wood was once living, gathering a lifetime of memories. Later, after being reshaped and reborn it has taken on a new life and a new use. At the end of this life it is typically discarded, throwing away two lifetimes' worth of wisdom gained. This wisdom is often evident in the variation apparent in its composition and character. These pieces are an attempt to display the beauty born of lives lived.

You Get the Angles

Some of the most beautiful wood you will ever see, produced by natural processes. Such wonderful variation!  Oxidation veins from the fasteners of a previous life!  The angles were fun to work into as well.  I had a general idea of what I wanted when I began this project, but as I continued the piece morphed into what you'll see in the photographs below.  I included two drawers, which I have left with no pulls.  For some reason I have always liked secret compartments and such.  So if no pulls are added to this piece there is no indication of storage compartments. (Pulls can be added upon request)  The bottom drawer is a uni-direction drawer.  The second drawer is a dual-direction drawer, it will open left or right simply by pushing on the opposite side. Intended as a end table to a high armed sofa/couch, or as a nightstand for a tall bed. May also be a stand alone piece in an entry.

A terror-ific wind storm blew through Weber and Davis counties a few months back and has given me a abundance of beautiful materials.  All cedar! Nothing smells better than a garage after working with Cedar.  The following are pics of a Coffee Table that has worked its way into being.  Enjoy! Asking Price- $150
